International Women's Day is celebrated all over the world including India on March 08, every year. It is also a focal point in the women's rights movement, throwing light on important issues such as gender equality, reproductive rights, and violence. 

 

International Women's Day was honored for the first time in Austria, Denmark, Germany and Switzerland on March 19, 1911. 

 

In today's time, women are playing a very important role in building both the country and the society. Today women are on duty to protect the border. On the occasion of Women's Day, some pictures and videos of women soldiers have come out. 

 

In Arunachal Pradesh, women soldiers of ITBP have seen ready to protect the border. It can be clearly seen in the pictures and videos that the women soldiers are first patrolling towards the mountains and then they are seen crossing the river which everyone is feeling proud to see. And say that in today's date women are not less than anyone. 

 

ITBP shared a video on International Women's Day showing that "the women troops of Indo - Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) patrolling somewhere in Arunachal Pradesh.” The ITBP is primarily tasked to secure the 3,488 km - long Line of Actual Control (LAC) with China. 

 

On Sunday, under, 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav - Desh Ki Hifazat, Desh Ki Suraksha', Indo - Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) personnel trained local youth of Arunachal Pradesh's Aalo in self - defence techniques. 

 

Indo - Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) is going to organize, 'Desh Ki Hifazat - Desh Ki Suraksha', especially in the remotest part of the country, to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the country's independence as 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' from March 06-13, 2022. 

 

The ITBP will also be organizing free medical camps and undertaking many other programmes such as distribution of stationery and sports items for school children in the border regions.
