Jammu And Kashmir Police finds 5 Kgs of IED

Jammu and Kashmir Police shot down a hexacopter drone in Akhnoor area of the same district on Friday.

J&K Police allegedly that they also recovered 5 kg of improvised explosive device (IED) which was to be assembled and to be used by terrorists. The drone was shot nearly 8 km inside the International Border (IB). Jammu and Kashmir Agencies are searching whether terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) is behind the drone activity and using modus operandi for a terror attack as in previous cases. This is not the first time a drone was spotted near the IB. Since the twin blasts in the Jammu's airbase on June 27, many drones were spotted in the same month even on different locations of  the state, raising doubts of a drone attack.

Dilbag Singh DGP in J&K , has recently directed the officials to be extra alert alert as terror outfits are continuously trying to use drones for terrorist activities. "Terror outfits are continuously attempting to use drones for terrorist activities," DGP Dilbag Singh stated to the sources due to the heightened drone activity.
