Japan's Prime Minister in India

Japan PM fumio Kishida on 2 day visit to India...

On March 2023, the Japanese Prime Minister, Fumio Kishida, arrived in India for a two-day visit.

As per the information, the union minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar will receive him from the airport in the national capital, and later he will meet the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and they both will walk together to Buddha Jayanti Park to visit the bal bodh tree, a sacred tree with deep roots from Gautam Buddha's time.

Meanwhile, Kishida shared a post from his Twitter account saying that he will also present a speech on the free and open Indo-Pacific strategy and its new defence posture with India and will meet the PM Narendra Modi. The Indo-Pacific cooperation strategy was first discussed by the PM Shinzo Abe fifteen years ago in India.

Both the countries have ties that elevated them to global partnership in 2000, strategies and global partnership in 2006, special strategic and global partnership in 2014, and even from 2006 they conducted their regular summits.

The counties have partnerships between various sectors, such as defence and security, trade and investment, education, science and technology, healthcare, and critical and emerging technologies.
