7 killed and 11 injured
On Wednesday afternoon the jeep carrying 18 person rammed into a standing truck that result in death of seven people near Varahi i Patan district of Gujarat.
According to the police information, the incident occurred on the afternoon hours of 15 February 2023 and they have registered a first information report (FIR) over night after the investigation of the matter.
In the FIR they mentioned that the jeep carrying 18 people out of which 11 got injured where five were badly injured and 5 died on the spot along with two who died after the injuries in late night.
The deceased people indentifed as kajal mohanbhai Parmar (9), Raghaben Mohanbhai Parmar (35), Samjubhai babubhai florist (50), Dughabhai Sejabhai Rathor(50), Pinal Mithunbhai Vanzara (7), Amita Khemrajbhai Vanzara (15), seemaben Mithunbhai Vanzara(24) as per the information in the FIR.
The family member of the deceased alleged that the jeep was too old and the jeep driver bulked the jeep in greed of money and demanding action against the driver.
Following the accident the case registered of Indian penal Code (IPC) under sections 304 (punishment for culpable homicide not amounting to murder), 337 (causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others), 338 ( causing grievous hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others), 279 (rash driving or riding on a public way), 283 (Danger or obstruction in public way or line of navigation), 177 (furnishing false information), 184 ( obstruction sale of property offered for sale by authority pf public servants) and 134 (Abetment of such assault , if the assault is committed).
