Joe Biden chooses an all Women Press Team for the first time

United States President-elect Joe Biden who won the US presidential elections 2020, led a revolutionary change, setting a quintessential image of an all-women press team in front of the Nation. Biden's transition team declared that this is for the first time in the country's history that women will rule all the communication positions. After Vice President-elect Kamala Harris stated, "I may be the first woman in the office, but I won't be the last one," on her twitter account after the undaunted victory in the elections, this announcement is definitely a step in the right direction.

On Monday, the new team was put forward. It will be headed by Biden's Campaign Communications Director Kate Bedingfield. She will now hold the position of White House Communications Director. The Biden-Harris Council headed their overwhelming decision in promising direction. Jen Psaki, a long term Democrat spokesperson will serve as Biden's press secretary. Psaki, earlier held the position of White House Communications Director in Obama's tenure.

The President-elect's other appointments entailed Pili Tobar as Deputy White House Communications Director and Karine Jean Pierre as principal deputy press secretary. Elizabeth Alexander will hold the position of Communications Director for First Lady Jill Biden, while Ashley Etienne will serve as Vice President Kamala Harris's Communications Director. The clustering of the President's press team, unlike Cabinet positions, does not need Senate's approval.

Biden extended his warmest regards to the newly elected press team by saying, "I am proud to announce today that our first senior White House Communications team comprised entirely of women." He firmly asserted to incorporate diverse perspectives in the team. The qualified, experienced and dedicated communicators will surge new ideas and opinions in the nation with their amazing profile and minds. The shared commitment will build a strong and better nation. Joe Biden won the elections by tightening his grip on 306 seats and since then, he and his team are turning every stone to justify their victory.
