Joe Biden Invites PM Narendra Modi for virtual submit on Climate Change

America's Special Envoy John Carrey Coming to India. Conference of leaders to be held on climate issue. Joe Biden sent invitation to PM Modi and he has accepted the invitation, both leaders will join digitally.


US President Joe Biden has invited PM Modi to attend the leaders’ summit on climate issues. Modi has accepted the invitation of Biden.

John Carrey, Special Envoy of US President Joe Biden, will be visiting India from April 5-8 on matters related to climate change, in which he will discuss environmental issues, including the forthcoming summit of leaders on climate issues. Foreign Ministry spokesman Arindam Bagchi handover this information to reporters at the weekly online press conference.

Carrey said that US President Joe Biden has invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take part in the leaders' summit on the climate issue, which is being conducted digitally. The meeting is programmed to be held from 22-23 April 2021. The spokesman said that the Prime Minister greet President Biden's initiative and accepted the invitation. Bagchi said that John Carrey, the special envoy of the US President, will be visiting India from 5-8 April in which he will discuss environmental issues comprising the forthcoming summit of leaders on climate issues.

He said that during his visit to India, Carrie will also meet Finance Minister S Jaishankar here, Finance Minister, Forest and Environment Minister, Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister, Energy, New and Renewable Energy Minister etc.
