Joe Biden offers insight on Iran Nuclear Deal

US sets demands for Iran Nuclear deal

The US President-elect Joe Biden posed new demands in front of Iran if it expects the US to work out the Nuclear deal and lift sanctions imposed on them, as reported by New York Times on Wednesday. Biden extended the idea to discuss further proceedings on the negotiation table with Iran and as per the reports by Times Biden administration is planning to extend the duration of restrictions on Iran's production of fissionable material that could be used to make nuclear bomb.

Other than this, the US also forwarded that Iran should address its malign regional activities through proxies in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Yemen in talks which should also comprise its Arab neighbours like Saudi Arabia, the reports emphasized.

In 2018, former US president Donald Trump backed out from the deal and imposed strict and crippling sanctions on Iran on pretext of 'maximum pressure' campaign against US's arch enemy. Biden, who defeated Republican rival Donald Trump with a huge margin, firmly asserted in his election campaign that he intends to offer a great deal to Iran on a 'credible path back to diplomacy.' The newly elected US President, said in an interview by Times, "It's going to be hard, but yeah. There's a lot to discuss about precision missiles and all range of other things destabilizing the region." He also stated the fact that in order to smoothen the region, working out a nuclear program is essential.

Biden clearly defined in subtle terms declaring a warning that if Iran acquired a bomb, it would force a nuclear arms race in the Middle East. "The last goddamn thing we need in that part of the world is nuclear capability," he added. Biden focussed the attention on his strategy to consult with its allies and partners to engage in negotiations and cite agreements to tighten the constraints on Iran's nuclear program and address missile program.
