Meanwhile one of the biggest American Multinational company Johnson and Johnson has temporarily halted the vaccine trial on Monday 13th October as the participants fell ill.

According to the statement by the officials of J&J, they said1,085,558 that "We have temporarily halted further dosing in all our Covid-19 vaccine candidate clinical trials, including the Phase 3 ENSEMBLE trial, due to an unexplained illness in a study participant."

According to sources, a woman developed severe neurological symptoms consistent with transverse myelitis, a rare inflammation of the spinal cord. The study is the cause behind the pause.

The halt of the vaccine means the online registration system has been closed for the 60,000-patient clinical trial while the independent patient safety committee is summoned.

The American the multinational company had Started the Phase 3 trial recruiting participants in late September, intending to enrol up to 60,000 volunteers across more than 200 sites in the US and around the world.
