JP Nadda’s Bengal Visit Faces Security Negligence.

JP Nadda’s Bengal visit has been accused of Security Negligence.

The Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP’s) Bengal Chief Dilip Ghosh today wrote a letter to the Union Home Minister Amit Shah regarding failure of providing security to the National BJP President JP Nadda during his visit to Kolkata.

The Government of West Bengal have been issued instructions on this regard and also a report has been asked to produce on this matter by the Union Home Ministry.

The Bengal elections are due in six months and Mr Nadda is on a two day visit to Kolkata as a part of the election campaign for the BJP.In a video posted on the internet it clearly shows a car which is said to be a part of the BJP chief’s convoy which is under attack with bricks thrown on them and shattering of the windscreen. The BJP Bengal chief has alleged that a ‘mob’ with sticks on their hands had gathered outside the party office at the time of Mr Nadda’s visit.

The Bengal BJP Chief in a press interaction said “There has been a security lapse during party president JP Nadda’s visit to the state. There was no presence of police at his events yesterday. I have written to the Home Minister Amit Shah and the administration here”.

This morning the BJP laid a claim that the Trinamool Congress (TMC) had attacked the BJP town president before the visit of JP Nadda to the Diamond Harbor constituency of West Bengal. The clashes between the two broke out when the BJP party workers were putting banners and flags in those areas and then a group of TMC workers attacked them with firearms allegedly near the Diamond Harbor New Pole. The BJP town president Surjit Haldar along with several BJP workers was taken to the Diamond Harbor district hospital due to injuries.

The TMC party leader Soumen Tarafdar denied all allegations pointed by the BJP and said, ‘This is a false allegation as TMC never does such a thing’.
