Kareena Kapoor Khan Collaborates With ENSEMBLE, Baradari

Kareena Kapoor Khan collaborates with fashion fundraiser Baradari with Namrata Zakaria

In the early stages of the coronavirus outbreak, the global fashion industry came together to help the health sector with protective gear and large donations. In India, leading designers were quick to pledge their support to working-class families and employees during the crisis. As the industry reopened in stages, people hard hit by the pandemic, such as small independent businesses and local artisans, some of whom were badly hit by cyclone Amphan in May, still needed help. The fashion industry has teamed up again to secure the future of the artisans who laid the foundation for the industry.

The Baradari Project, an online fundraiser, is founded by veteran journalist Namrata Zakaria in this very hopeful spirit of rebuilding, the country's top designers including Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Tarun Tahiliani, Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla, Manish Malhotra, Anamika Khanna, Rahul Mishra and around 100 others have donated their exclusive pieces for digital sale at Ensembleindia.com. “The health pandemic has shed light on social inequalities in India and the way we do business. Our weavers and embroiderers are our day laborers, they are at the bottom of the fashion food chain and only get a thousand rupees per lakh [rupees] for the sale of their work. This had to be addressed. Our intention with Baradari is to bridge this economic divide, ”Zakaria told Vogue. Mrs. Kareena supports her voice to support the initiative.

The diva of kapoor family posed in a traditional salwar kameez from Anita Dongre. The outfit is in a pastel pink toned kurta set with a matching dupatta and bottoms which features hand embroidery and sparkling detailing around the yoke, which compliment her look. Kareena paired with kolhapuris wedge from Aprajita Toor with the ethnic outfit, her loose wavy hair to the radiant makeup look, which is perfect for the day. No matter what trend is going on, traditional classics aren't going anywhere, it is evergreen
