Karnataka's New Chief Minister to meet PM Modi and Other Union Ministers in Delhi

Basavaraj Bommai also met Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and discussed the Mekedatu irrigation of the project.


Karnataka's new Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi, today. This is his first visit to the capital after being appointed as Chief Minister of the state. The meeting with the Prime Minister is scheduled for 4 pm. In addition, he also is meeting with other union Ministers.

Speaking with reporters the Chief Minister of Karnataka said he was here to meet the PM and other union Ministers also to thank them and seek their blessings. After a meeting held with the Defence Minister, the Defence Minister tweeted, met with the Chief Minister of Karnataka today, he also wished him for the success ahead. Basavaraj Bommai also met Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and discussed the Mekedatu irrigation of the project.

Earlier, on Thursday, the CM of Karnataka also told the media, that he will further discuss the issue of cabinet expansion in the state with the central leadership, also relating to the pending project and the issues concerning the state.He will also be  present at the lunch for MPs from Karnataka Mr. Bommai was elected as the new leader of the BJP legislature party on Tuesday.
