Anupam Kher described the killing Kashmiri Pandit as ‘shameful’, said terrorist even kill their own…

Veteran actor Anupam Kher strongly condemned the murder of a Kashmiri Pandit in the Kashmir valleys. The actor said that terrorists are targeting those who stand in support of India. In yet another targeted killing, the Kashmiri Pandit was killed on Tuesday. The deceased was identified as Sunil Kumar Bhat who was shot dead at the scene and his brother, Pintu Kumar Bhat was seriously injured. The killing unfolded as the terrorists shot them at an apple orchid in Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian district and the incident took place in the Chotipora area.

Veteran actor Kher described the incident as a ‘shameful’ act. Anupam Kher has been the voice of Kashmiri Pandits even before the release of his controversial movie The Kashmir Files and the actor even reflected on his own story as a Kashmiri Pandit who had to resettle. Kher on the given incident said that “They are killing even their own people. They are killing everyone who stands with India. This has been happening for the past 30 years. The more you condemn it, the less it is. We will have to change this mindset” as he strongly condemned the killing.

All India Majis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi also condemned the killing as he said that the Central government had immensely failed to provide security to the Kashmiri Pandit community. BJP president in J&K Ravinder Raina also spoke on the matter as he said, “Coward Pakistani terrorist’s targeted minority Hindus. Two brothers- Kashmiri Hindus- Sunil Kumar and Pintu were targeted by coward Pakistani terrorists”. He added that Pakistan wants a bloodbath in Kashmir, Pakistani terrorists are the enemies of the people in Kashmir. Pakistan wants to turn Kashmir into graveyards, but we won’t allow it to fulfil its nefarious designs”.
