Kedarnath comes under one of the most prominent pilgrimage sites in the country. Helicopter services of Kedarnath are back into the business after the covid unlock. The services have resumed from Friday and around 890 pilgrims have booked their service for the very first day after resuming and services are high on Demand.

According to the Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Development Authority (UCADA), it says, Total number of 2,500 pilgrims have made their services booked for helicopters and This year 20,000 people visited Kedarnath and covid 19" Negative" report is mandatory for the visitors coming to Kedarnath and all the precautions and protocols should be followed strictly while visiting.

Ashish Kumar Chauhan, CEO of UACADA says that "Those who come by helicopter will not stay in the temple and are exempted from the daily limit and expect a maximum of 400 people to avail the service for " Char Dham".

Bookings for chopper ride for two ways starts from rupees 7,750 from Guptkashi to Kedarnath, phata from rupees 4,680 and Govindghat for rupees 5,950.

The temple is located high in the Garhwal Himalayan Range and is dedicated to Lord Shiva and Kedarnath opens from April to November each year.

It's being high up in the Himalayas and the location comes under extreme conditions during the winter season. Temple comes under 12 jyotirlingas and one of the most important ones is 'Kedarnath' which is located at the Himalayas about 11,755 ft above the sea level near chorabari glacier, River Mandakini is the source and is covered by the snow cap, the nearest road from KedarnathGaurikund which is 16 km away from it.
