Kerala CM Writes To PM Modi Over Non-Exclusion Of Tableau In R-Day Parade

Earlier, West Bengal And Tamil Nadu CM's also expressed dissatisfaction


On Thursday, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the Non-Exclusion of Tableau in the republic day parade.  He sought his intervention to include a tableau in the republic day parade.

 

According to the tweet, the CM said," Wrote to Hon.PM @narendramodi Ji on non-inclusion of Kerala's tableau in the Republic Day parade. It featured the great philosopher and social reformer Shree Narayan Guru, who led Kerala's renaissance movement.

 

Sought his urgent intervention to include our tableau in the parade " he also attached a photo of the letter sent to PM Modi with his tweet.

 

In his letter, he wrote, "our tableau included the image of Sree Narayan Guru, a great philosopher and social reformer, who led the Renaissance movement of Kerala in the last century.

 

He also said the message Tableau can send to the younger generation of the country is very valuable. Also said to PM that, Kerala's tableaux have in the past won honors more than once.

 

According to the information, earlier West Bengal and Tamil Nadu Chief Ministers were seen witnessing the same dissatisfaction. West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee wrote to PM Modi over the rejection of the tableau, she requested to include the tableau of freedom fighters from West Bengal.

 

Responding to the request, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said," I would like to assure you that the selection process of the tableaux participating in the republic Day parade is very transparent."

 

Republic Day rehearsals have begun in the National Capital. Ahead of this grand day celebration, the security and the forces have been tightened in the capital city. Meanwhile, Red fort is also to remain close for five days for Visitors ahead of Republic Day celebration and security reasons.
