Kerala colleges to reopen from October 4, Covid-19 1st dose mandatory

It has been directed to approach the health department to arrange for Covid-19 vaccination centres for students and staff to inoculate them with Covid-19 jabs.


Amid the fear of Covid-19, colleges and other educational institutions were closed for the last two years. Kerala has decided to reopen colleges from 4th October and has made first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine mandatory for the students.

As per the order," All institutions under the Higher Education department shall start functioning from October 4." Adding more it said, "The classrooms, libraries and laboratories should be sanitized well before the commencement of classes and the institutions can seek assistance from the local assistance from the local self Government bodies concerned health workers or NGOs."

Whereas it has also been directed to approach the health department to arrange for Covid-19 vaccination centres for students and staff to inoculate them with Covid-19 jabs.

Kerala state witnessed an incessant rise of Covid-19 cases during this last month. The sudden spike in cases in the state led many other states to issue travel guidelines.
