On Saturday, 14 January 2023, Former IPL chairman Lalit Modi revealed in a social media post that he is on 24x7 continuous oxygen support after testing positive for Covid last week.
Lalit Modi said he contracted Covid-19 infection twice in two weeks and has "severe pneumonia."
"After 3 weeks in confinement with a double Covid in 2 weeks, accompanied by influenza and deep pneumonia - and post trying several times to leave.
Finally landed in an air ambulance accompanied by two doctors and a superstar, a superefficient son, who did so much for me back in London," he wrote in a post.
"The flight was smooth and safe. Unfortunately, still on 24/7 external oxygen support. Thank you to all at @vistajet for going the extra mile. I am extremely grateful to all of you. Love to all. Big hug," he added.
Lalit Modi also thanked two doctors who treated him for three weeks in Mexico and in London as well.
