Seventh Phase polling In UP!


The Uttar Pradesh assembly elections were taking place in Seven Phases, where the last day of polling, which is the seventh phase of polling, is taking place today (7 March).

 

Taking to Twitter, PM Modi said that it is the last phase of voting in Uttar Pradesh. “...I request all the voters to participate in the seventh and last phase of the assembly elections with full enthusiasm and create a new voting record,” the PM said in a tweet. 

 

According to the statement given by the uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath said, I appeal to all voters to exercise their franchise in the last phase of Assembly elections today. There is enthusiasm among the voters. Your one vote will help ensure good governance in the state."

 

PM had extensively campaigned in his Lok Sabha constituency and its adjoining districts. Not only did he address election rallies but also held a roadshow for three Assembly constituencies in Varanasi. 

 

The last phase of polls will decide the fate of Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party president Om Prakash Rajbhar and several UP ministers, in which 2.06 crore people are eligible to vote. 

 

The districts where polling is being held include Azamgarh, Mau, Jaunpur, Ghazipur, Chandauli, Varanasi, Mirzapur, Bhadohi, and Sonbhadra.  As per the information, the polling began today at 7 am which will be continued till evening 6 pm. Meanwhile, the counting of votes in the poll-bound state that is Uttar Pradesh will begin on March 10.
