On Saturday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted light rain today in the capital with the overcast condition throughout the day.
According to the IMD, the maximum temperature will be 35 degrees Celsius, while the minimum will be 27 degrees Celsius. On September 2 and 3, continuous rain is expected with thunderstorms, IMD predicted.

Meanwhile, on Friday the temperature was 36 degrees Celsius and for the next seven days, the maximum temperature is likely to range between 33 and 35 degrees Celsius although the minimum temperature could range from 25 degrees Celsius to 27 degrees Celsius.
The IMD also said, with an update on Friday, the scattered rainfall is likely over Northwest India from August 28 onwards. Whereas, the western end of the monsoon trough, that is, monsoon low-pressure area, is likely to shift southwards from its position near the foothills of the Himalayas.
