Low-intensity Earthquake of 3.9 magnitude Hits Haridwar

Earthquake in Haridwar with magnitude 3.9 on Tuesday morning at 9:41


In  Uttarakhand an earthquake  of magnitude 3.9 on the Richter scale with low-intensity was experienced near Haridwar on Tuesday.

National Centre for Seismology (NCS) reported, the earthquake happened at exactly 9:41:50 am, tremors were measured at a depth of 10 kilometres, about 22 kilometres west-northwest of Haridwar. The Earthquake hit with low intensity so there was no damage and no fatality or destruction has been reported. 

"Earthquake of magnitude: 3.9, Occurred on 01-12-2020, 09:41:50 IST, Latitude: 30.03 and Longitude: 77.95, Depth: 10 Km, Location: 22 km West North West (WNW) of Haridwar, Uttarakhand," tweeted the NCS, the nodal agency of the Indian government, which records earthquake activity in the country.
