LPG cylinder price rises by rupees 25 from today

LPG cylinder will cost Rs 884.50 in Delhi whereas the price of cylinder will be Rs 911 in Kolkata.


Prices of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) as well as diesel and petroleum are touching peaks. Meanwhile, from today, that is, Wednesday (1st September) the price of the LPG has been hiked by rupees 25 per cylinder. The price of a commercial LPG cylinder has also been raised by Rs 75 per cylinder by the big oil marketing PSUs.

Talking about the price of the LPG cylinder in the national capital, it will cost Rs 884.50 for 14.2 kg non-subsidised LPG. Whereas the cost of LPG will be Rs 911 in Kolkata. Earlier the price of the LPG cylinder was increased by rupees 25.50 on July 1.

As per the statement by ANI, the LPG prices have doubled in the last seven years. An LPG refill cost Rs 410.50 per cylinder on March 1, 2014 but now it costs Rs 859.50, which is more than double.

When the deadly second wave of Covid-19 had hit the country, it had already become very difficult to manage two square meals and now the price hike of LPG has increased hardships of the people.
