A price revision has been made for commercial LPG by oil marketing companies, while also keeping domestic cooking gas rates unchanged, according to a source. The monthly revisions for both commercial and domestic LPG gas cylinders occur on the first day of every month, with new rates being implemented from 1st June.

The cost of 19 KG commercial LPG gas cylinders has undergone a substantial cut of Rs 99.75, effective from August 1st. This price reduction brings the retail sales price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi to Rs 1,680, as reported by trusted sources.

For those residing in Kolkata and Mumbai, the new retail prices for a 19 kg cooking gas cylinder will be Rs 1,802.50 and Rs 1,640.50, respectively, also starting from today.

It is essential to note that the prices of domestic cooking gas vary across states due to differing local taxes. Furthermore, the fluctuations in international crude oil prices directly influence domestic LPG rates. The previous revision for 19 kg LPG cylinder prices took place on July 4th.

Simultaneously, Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has implemented an 8.5 percent increase in the prices of aviation turbine fuel (ATF) for this month, commencing on August 1st. It is pertinent to mention that IOC reviews ATF prices every fortnight, adjusting them based on prevailing market conditions.

These recent adjustments in LPG cylinder and ATF prices reflect the dynamic nature of the energy sector and its vulnerability to global market fluctuations. The reduction in LPG cylinder prices is expected to provide relief to commercial users, particularly in Delhi, while the ATF price increment may impact the aviation industry's operating costs.
