LPG Gas Gets Costlier By Rs105

Price for 19Kg Cylinder gets Increased!


The price of Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) has been hiked by rupees 105. The oil manufacturing companies have hiked the prices which will come in effect from today i.e. March 1st.

 

According to the information, the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders has been increased by Rs105 in Delhi. With this increase, a 19 kg commercial cylinder will cost Rs2, 012 in Delhi from Tuesday. In Kolkata, LPG cylinders will be available for Rs2, 095 instead of Rs1, 987. In Mumbai, LPG cylinders price has been increased from 1,857 to 1,963.

 

Not only 19 kg cylinders but also the prices of 5 kg cylinders have been increased by Rs27. In the National capital Delhi, Now a 5 kg cylinder will cost Rs569. The price of a 5 kg cylinder has also been increased by Rs27.

 

Notably, the LPG Cylinder rates in India are revised monthly for all states and union territories. The increment in LPG prices will have a significant impact on India's commercial sector.

 

According to reports, cooking gas prices could also soar starting in April 2022. Apart from LPG gas cylinders, compressed natural gas (CNG), piped natural gas (PNG), and even electricity rates are likely to increase in the coming months. Increases in the cost of CNG, electricity, and other petroleum products could lead to hikes in the prices of transportation costs.

 

The crisis between Russia and Ukraine will also impact the prices, as Russia is a key supplier of gas to European countries via multibillion-dollar transcontinental pipelines. The crisis may disrupt supply, resulting in a supply chain problem.
