Maharashtra CM visits temple as religious places reopen in the state

Shirdi Sai temple, Sri Siddhivinayak temple and many more religious places have been reopened in view of the festival season.


During the second wave of Covid-19, cases were at peak in Maharashtra and the state was one of the worst-hit states.  The deadly disease has impacted many lives and has led to the closure of schools, colleges, other religious and public gathering places.

However, after witnessing a decline in the number of cases, the Maharashtra government is reopening its schools and other public places. Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray visited Siddhivinayak temple in Maharashtra as religious places have reopened in the state.

On the arrival of Navratri and upcoming festivals, these places have been reopened following proper Covid-19 guidelines and appropriate behaviour. Shirdi Sai temple, Shri Shani Shingnapur temple have been reopened in the state.

Meanwhile, the CM along with the Deputy Chief Minister visited the temple. He tweeted, "temples in the state, which have been shut for a year and a half due to the corona crisis, reopened for devotees today. On the occasion of Ghatasthapana and Navratri, went to Siddhivinayak in Mumbai."
