Maharashtra government to formulate education schemes for orphaned kids

Education Policy for Orphaned kids to be implemented


Maharashtra  Women and Child Development Minister Yashomati Thakur addressed on Monday, besides helping with the financial support for the orphaned kids due to the pandemic, now the government has decided to help them as per the formulate scheme in providing education and daily essential needs to them. Furthermore, the state cabinet Mr.Thakur will be addressing in the meeting which will take place in a week regarding the fixed deposit of Rs5 lakh for the children who have lost their parents due to the pandemic a monthly allowance of Rs 1,125 will be given to them.

Moreover, The Maharashtra minister addressed that the state government will be providing provide all kinds of support to children orphaned by the COVID-19 pandemic. Minister Yashomati Thakur in a statement also spoke about only ensuring the financial support will be not sufficient, they also need proper guidance, counseling and other kinds of support should be also provided, these NGOs and other individuals need to help those children.

The state government has also formulated a task force for the children to meet with them every two weeks in getting the revisit issues. Besides, a task force formed by the state government to deal with such children has already met a couple of times and is expected to meet every two weeks and revisit issues related to their welfare, Yashomati Thakur will be also going on tour to know the problem faced by the orphan's kids, the district also has 42 orphans informed by Collector Rajesh Narvekar.
