Jailed for 5 years.....
A teacher in Mumbai jailed for 5 years of rigorous imprisonment on Tuesday due to molesting four minor girls by a special protection of children firm sexual offences act (POCSO).
When the mother of two girls studying in class V and class VI noticed change in her daughter that she had not eaten tiffen and one of them seem panic stricken, then the incident came to light on March 4, 2016, according to the prosecution. After the mother asked her daughter, she said one of the male teacher had molested them in school.
When the woman get aware of that the teacher has misbehaved with her other daughter as well, she went to the school next day and submitted a written complaint against the teacher to the authorities.
She also found that similar complaints has registered against the teacher of molestation at the police station, on March 11, 2016. However the school had not taken any action.
Under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012, an FIR has registered by the police based on complaint and booked the teacher, a resident of Kalyan.
Before the court revealed that how English and Science teacher molested with students, at least four girls, including the two testified. Along with the prosecution also finds the school principal and another teacher from the school and the police officers who investigated the case, to bring home the guilt of the accused.
The prosecution case was accepted by special court and convicted the teacher for molesting the minor girl students in the school.
