Man Escapes With Thar SUV Under Pretense of Test Drive in Noida

Police Apprehend Suspect

A man has been arrested by the police for allegedly stealing a Mahindra Thar after posing as a customer interested in taking it for a test drive.

According to police reports, the incident occurred on Saturday in Sector 63, and authorities have confirmed the recovery of the vehicle.

A police spokesperson stated, "The accused, Mohit Chawla, had taken the Mahindra Thar for a test drive on Saturday but failed to return. Subsequently, the plaintiff filed a complaint against him at the local police station."

"The spokesperson announced that an FIR was filed under IPC section 379 (theft), prompting an investigation. Consequently, the accused was apprehended from Block C of Sector 63 today (Sunday), and the stolen Thar was successfully recovered from his possession."

Police disclosed that the accused had previously been involved in similar cases in both Delhi and Noida.
