A Man Faked His Death And Killed His Friend For Money


Police of Pune's Pimpri Chinchwad have solved a complexed murder mystery where a 52-year-old man faked his own death and then allegedly killed his own friend to evade a loan payment of nearly Rs 1 crore. 

PCMC city police commissioner Krishna Prakash said to India Today TV that on November 20, 2020 a case was registered with Hinjewadi Police Station. The investigation Officer Balkrishna Sawant was informed about a decomposed dead body nearby area of Udanshahwali Dargah, by the Maulana of Baner. Pune police teams recovered a chit with two mobile numbers and half-burnt clothes from the place where the decomposed dead body was found. Police said that according to the post-mortem report it was a murder, the victim died due to stabbing, and later the dead body was sat on fire.

Police started the investigation and after three days of non-stop interrogation, a person who owned one of the two mobile numbers, said to the police that a beggar outside YCM hospital has asked for his number. In the same time, the Hinjewadi Police got information about missing persons in nearby areas of Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad. Police started searching the CCTV footages near the missing people's residences.A police team secured information about a missing beggar outside YCM hospital gate. After searching nearby CCTV footages police confirmed that the missing beggar and a missing person from Wakad area were spotted talking to each other for about an hour.Police then had a thought that one of the two people who was spotted in the CCTV footage might have been murdered by the other person. After confronting the family members of the missing person who filed the missing report in the Wakad area, the police team was not entirely convinced with their statements
