Man Got Wife Killed In Rajasthan

To claim Rs 1.90 crore insurance money…

In Rajasthan’s Jaipur, A man got his wife killed by staging a road accident to get an insurance money of Rs. 1.90 crore.

The accused, identified as Mahesh Chand, hired a history-sheeter who rammed his car into the motorcycle on which Mahesh's wife was riding along with her cousin.

On October 5, the incident took place, when Mahesh's wife, Shalu, along with her cousin Raju, had gone to visit Samod temple in Jaipur's Harmada.

Both were killed in a collision with a Safari vehicle while on the way to the temple.

Chand had also got his wife insured for Rs. 1 crore 90 lakh before the murder.

DCP Vandita Rana said that there were frequent fights between Mahesh and his wife Shalu. Shalu had also filed a dowry harassment case against Mahesh in 2019, after which he was arrested and sent to jail.

As a part of a planned conspiracy, Mahesh told his wife that a Pandit had said that they could lead a happy life if they visited Balaji 12 times. On the other hand, he had already paid Rs. 5.50 lakh of the promised Rs. 10 lakh contract to history-sheeter Mukesh Singh Rathore for killing his wife.

Pressured by her husband, Shalu took her brother Raju on a motorcycle to visit the temple while Mahesh kept tracking her location. The duo were mowed down by a speeding SUV car, killing them on the spot.
