As a part of a ritual sacrifice, man killed his minor daughter in Uttar Pradesh
The incident took place Barankbari near Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh where a man allegedly beaten his 10-year-old daughter to death as a part of a ritual sacrifice. The accused is identified as Alam, who is a resident of the Khurd Mau village in Barabanki’s Badosarai area.
As reported, Alam came under the influence of a ‘Tantrik’ who told him about a treasure that is buried under his house and that he would help Alam to discover it but to reveal the location of the treasure he would have to sacrifice his daughter as a part of ritual.
Thereafter, Alam, along with the occultist and another man named as Hanif, brutually thrashed his daughter leading to serious injuries that later caused her death. In order to save the girl, the mother of victim tried to stop them but Alam beat her up as well.
Later, he buried the body of the girl in his house. When the victim’s maternal grandmother came to know about the incident, she immediately reported the police based on which an investigation was started, resulting in arrest of all accused.
“A man named Alam beat up his daughter during his wife’s treatment. Then the victim died due to the assault. He later buried the body without informing the police. After receiving information about the case, police recovered the and sent it for post-mortem,” said Arvind Chaturvedi, SP Barabanki.
Also, accused wife told that the occultist stayed at their house for several days before the incident and is originally from Mumbai.
