Man Paraded Naked In A Crowded Market

Small Dispute Big Repercussion!


On Tuesday, December 1, 2020, a man was allegedly stripped and paraded naked by five men after he accused them of being involved in cricket betting. The incident happened in Gujarat's Khambhalia town. On the same day the accused uploaded the video of this incident on social media. Before this incident, the man had shared a video on Facebook, in which he was accusing those men of indulging in cricket betting.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Hirendra Chaudhary said, "the accused allegedly kidnapped the man, intimidated and stripped him and then paraded him in a busy market place in Khambhalia town of Devbhumi Dwarka district.He also added, that soon after this incident an FIR was lodged and all five accused has been arrested. The case has been handed over to the local Crime branch for further investigation. 

The five accused has been booked under various IPC sections, i.e. 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 365 (kidnapping), 355 (assault or criminal force with intent to dishonour person),294 (indulging in obscene act), 342 (wrongful confinement), 120-B (criminal conspiracy) and 506 (criminal intimidation) and  provision of the information technology act. The two persons were purportedly seen parading the man in a market in Khambhalia, shown in the uploaded view. The accused and the victim all are relatives, they also had an old enmity said by the police official. He also stated, that the victim who was paraded also had several cases of prohibition and gambling registered against him in the past.In 2016 one of the five accused in present case was arrested by the Surat Crime branch in a case of cheating, said the Deputy Superintendent
