Manmohan Singh discharged from hospital


The 88-years-old Former Prime Minister of India Manmohan Singh was discharged from AIIMS hospital Trauma Centre in Delhi on Thursday, after recovering from corona virus. He was hospitalized on April 19 due to corona virus.

Earlier Manmohan Singh sent a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi advising about five measures to battle the pandemic crisis, which including ramping up vaccination along with increasing the supply of medicines.

In a letter to the PM, the veteran Congress leader stated that not a absolute count of number but the maximum total percentage of the population that has been vaccinated. Compulsory licensing provisions for drugs production companies  and also giving some flexibility to all states to define categories of frontline workers who can be vaccinated even if they are below 45 years. He also wrote that  "The key to our fight against COVID-19 must be ramping up the vaccination effort. We must resist the temptation to look at the absolute numbers being vaccinated, and focus instead on the percentage of the population vaccinated," in his letter
