Massive Fire Broke Out In Ludhiana, Punjab

More than 50 fire engines were put into service, but the fire is yet to be brought under control.

On Thursday morning, a huge fire broke out in a three-storey plastic warehouse at No. 16 Kutcha, Field Ganj.

More than 50 fire engines were put into service, but the fire is yet to be brought under control. The camp is in a densely populated area and soon panic spread among the surrounding traders. The warehouse was closed and the short circuit appears to have caused the fire.

Sources said the warehouse stored a large amount of polyethylene and disposables, and almost the entire inventory turned into ashes. The fire brigade had to break open the main blind to penetrate the warehouse.
