Bribe of Rs. 1, 00,000 for facilitating hustle free...


New Delhi, March 2: On Tuesday a complaint was registered by Saurabh Jain, a resident of East Shalimar Bagh of New Delhi at the office of Anti-corruption branch of Delhi stated that a municipal corporation of Delhi official demanded a bribe of Rs. 1, 00,000 for facilitating hustle free construction of a house in East Shalimar area of national capital which belongs to Rajiv Jain brother of Saurabh Jain.

 

According to the head of the Anti-corruption branch (ABC) and the joint commissioner of police (JCP) of Delhi, Madhur Verma, the complainant registered a name Narayan who is posted in the health department in North MCD office demanding for bribe of Rs. 1 lakh who later settled at Rs. 10,000 after the bargaining.

 

Following the information, a raid team was constituted and asked the complainant to take Rs. 10,000 before the team and they applied phenolphthalein power to the same and later, Saurabh was asked to call Narayan and fixed the meeting.

 

Nearly at 4:30 Pm the raid team along with complainant reached the spot where Narayan fix the meeting and after a chit chat Saurabh handed the amount to the officer.

 

After which the punch witness informed the police and they rushed to the spot after Narayan saw the team he try to flee but failed to do so and caught Red handed.

 

A case was registered under section 7 POC Act, PS ABC against him.

 

Further investigation are underway.
