Police Suspected Exam Stress…

On Wednesday morning, A 21-year-old girl from the B J Medical College which is a government-approved college ended their life by jumping from the terrace of the hospital, police said.

The young girl was extremely disturbed for the past few days due to the stress of studies and exams, said an official, adding that they have not found any suicide note from there.

The girl then jumped from the Hospital’s terrace.

"She was a first-year medical student and was apparently under stress due to academics.

She had been crying often in the last few days. Her parents had advised her to appear for the exam even if she had not prepared for it," said Deputy Commissioner of Police Smartana Patil.

Her parents took her to the psychiatrist for treatment and stayed by her side for the last three days, the official said.

"Today they accompanied her to the college, but she went to the terrace of the hospital and suddenly jumped from there.

She was admitted to the hospital’s ICU but died during treatment, "DCP Patil said, adding that further investigation is going on.
