Model Arrested With Drugs Worth 1 Crore

The police seized 1.010 kg of drugs worth more than Rs 1 crore!

On Monday, The Delhi Police Crime branch seized 1.010 kg of drugs worth more than Rs one crore from a 25-year-old model and his girlfriend in North Delhi.

According to the information, the accused have been identified as Shubham Malhotra alias Sunny and Kirti (27). Both used to supply drugs around the Delhi University campus.

According to the inputs received by the police, some people were supplying drugs around the Delhi University area. After further investigation, it was revealed that Sunny was the key link to this racket.

Sunny used to procure drugs from Malana in Himachal Pradesh and supply them in the Delhi University areas, Assistant sub-inspector Sachin Singh said.

On July 12, the police received an input that Sunny had been in Himachal Pradesh for the past two-three days and would return to Delhi via Singhu border in his car between 6-7 am.

As per the information a case under the The Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (NDPS) Act was registered, and the accused were arrested in the case.

Upon interrogation by the police, accused Sunny revealed that he started smoking and consuming drugs in 2016 and to cover his expenses, he started selling drugs to his friends as well.

Meanwhile, efforts are being made to trace the source and receivers of contraband. Further investigation is underway.
