Mumbai : four policemen injured in clash at Nanded Gurudwara

As the corona cases have increased in Nanded district, the administration has banned the gathering of people. Apart from this, the people of the Sikh community wanted to oust Halla Bol Morcha. However, the gurdwara management was allowed to perform the program inside the premises.


Maharashtra has the highest number of corona cases in the country. Despite this, people are not following the guidelines. In the Nanded district of Maharashtra,on the occasion of Holi, thousands of people broke the barricading near the gurudwara on Monday and came to the road. During this time 4 policemen posted near the gate were injured. The administration did not allow Hola Mohalla due to the restrictions of Corona, but despite this people came out on the streets.

SP Vinod Shivade said that due to an increase in Corona cases in Nanded district, the administration has banned the gathering of people. Apart from this, the people of the Sikh community wanted to oust Halla Bol Morcha. However, the gurdwara management was allowed to perform the program inside the premises. But thousands of people gathered and broke the barricading near the gurdwara. The police seem helpless in front of the crowds of people carrying swords. It is being told that the protesters also attacked the police. Police vehicles were also damaged and 4 policemen were injured during this period.

The police officer said that the gurdwara committee was informed about this and said that they would organize it inside the gurdwara, but it did not happen. The committee said they would organize it inside the gurdwara premises themselves. But around four o'clock, Nishan Sahib was brought near the gate. They started arguing with the policemen. Around 300 to 400 youths broke barricading and started demonstrating outside.

It is being told that the condition of one of the four constables is critical and six police vehicles have been damaged by the mob. The police are going to register an FIR against about 200 people on charges of breaking corona restrictions, attacking policemen. Simultaneously, preparations are also being made to arrest those involved in the violence.
