MUMBAI: MAN, SEXUALLY ASSAULTED HIS WIFE WITH PIPE

POLICE SAID, THE MAN WAS DRUNK AT THE TIME OF INCIDENT


On Tuesday, Mulund police have arrested a 45-year-old man for allegedly sexually assaulting his wife with a pipe. According to police accused was drunk while he attempts this unbelievable incident.

 

Earlier also the victim had filed a non-cognisable complaint against her husband for assaulting her as he found her having an affair, sources said.

 

On Monday in the wee hours the accused retuned home drunk, police said and he started beating her up.

 

The accused sexually assaulted his wife with a pipe at knifepoint and even clicked pictures with his cell phone, according to the FIR. He also threatened to kill their two children.

 

The woman was first taken to Mulund General Hospital and later shifted to Sion hospital. Her condition is stable.

 

Police have charged the accused under the relevant Indian Penal Code sections for rape, unnatural sex, outraging the modesty of woman, assault and criminal intimidation.

The accused has been remanded to police custody by a local court, said a police officer.

 

As per supreme court directives on cases related to sexual assault, the victim’s identity has not been revealed to protect her privacy.
