Covid positivity rate dips in Mumbai!


Few states in the country are witnessing a downfall in their positivity rate. Metro cities Such as Mumbai and Delhi are among the list which are witnessing a downfall in the Covid ratio.


With the downfall in the positivity rates, the schools and colleges in Mumbai are about to reopen again. As per the information, the Brihanmumbai municipal corporation (BMC) commissioner is planning to reopen the schools in Mumbai from January 27. He said, "moved past the peak" phase and the daily Covid cases may see a further dip in the coming days.


According to the statement given by the Commissioner, he said, "We expect the numbers to come down to levels of 1,000- 2,000 by January 26 and we are now planning to reopen schools by January 27. Earlier the schools in Mumbai were closed from class 1-9 and class 11 till January 31.


The cases of Covid-19 had led to the closure of schools, colleges, educational institutions, and other public places like malls, parks, and other areas. Mumbai is well known as a hotbed for COVID.

 

The cases in the city touch peak and also the cases decline. The city always witnesses a fluctuating scenario with Covid cases. The online mode of classes has led students to be more lethargic and slower during the pandemic.


On Tuesday, Mumbai City reported 6,149 new cases of Covid while 5,956 cases were reported on Monday. There's a downfall in the daily tally. The highest spike was on January 7, the city reported 20,971 cases of COVID. The positivity rate dropped to 13.7 percent.
