Mumbai: Under construction flyover collapses in Bandra, leaves 14 injured

Manjunath Singe, deputy commissioner of police informed that no person was missing from the site and there was no loss of life in the mishap.


At least 14 people were injured after a part of an under construction flyover collapsed in Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai Friday morning. All 14 who sustained injuries were taken to the VN Desai Hospital and reportedly, their condition is stable, said disaster control cell of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).

According to the BMC officials, police and fire department personnel are carrying out rescue operations. Manjunath Singe, deputy commissioner of police informed that no person was missing from the site and there was no loss of life in the mishap.

The under construction flyover which collapsed at around 4:40 am, connects BKC main road to Santa Cruz–Chembur Link Road. The construction work was being undertaken by Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA), said the BMC.
