Munawar Faruqui receives another warning from BJP!

Faruqui is planning a show in Hyderabad, BJP issues him a warning…

Munawar Faruqui a stand-up comedian in India announced to perform a show in Hyderabad on August 20. Agitated by which the Telangana unit of the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday threatened the state government of the dire consequences, were they to allow the comedian to hold an event there.

BJP’S Lawmaker from the Goshamahal constituency, Mr T Raja Singh in a video that he posted on social media said, “Let me see what will happen if he is invited to stage a show in Hyderabad. Wherever the programme is held, we will beat him up. Whoever offers him a venue we will set it afire” clearly very agitated by the comedian Munawar’s potential show in Hyderabad.

The BJP leader has been furious at Munawar in the past as he said that the comedian cracked jokes on the Hindu religion and gods and thereby hurting the sentiments of Hindus. Recalling that he had said that “we will definitely teach him a lesson for abusing our Lord Ram if he ever comes to Telangana. This is a challenge”.

Accepting the challenge and extending it further, the comedian took it to his social media account as he announced his show ‘Dongri to nowhere’. He uploaded the show details for Hyderabad with a fire emoji.

The above-cited BJP leader recalling Faruqui’s earlier imprisonment for 37 days said “he also made serious comments against the union home minister Amit Shah during an event in Indore in January. He has also commented against the citizenship amendment act (CAA), the Godhra incident and the Kar Sevaks etc”.
