Nagpur: 12-year-old strangled to death by sister, her bf

Later, during a prolonged interrogation with the police, the victim's sister broke down and revealed the truth.

12-year-old, Suraj Ramteke was strangled to death by his 16-year-old sister and her alleged boyfriend at Vidyanand Nagar near Dudhdhamna in Nagpur. Apparently, on learning about their relationship, Suraj started abusing them and threatened to expose the couple. This enraged the couple and they allegedly ended up murdering him.

Later, during a prolonged interrogation with the police, Suraj’s sister broke down and revealed the truth. Reportedly, during the fight her boyfriend jumped and attacked the victim gagging him with a handkerchief and later strangling him with a scarf. Injuries on the neck of the deceased indicated foul play, said the officer.

After fleeing the scene, the girl’s boyfriend started giving her instructions over the phone. She then staged a story and rushed back home yelling for help. She collapsed after drinking water. During the investigation the truth was uncovered and both the sister and her boyfriend were arrested.
