Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the 2nd valedictory National Youth Parliament Festival on January 12, aiming to provide a platform to voices of youth. The young minds of a nation nourished by the events occurring in the country often feel an urge to raise their opinions and ideas in favour and welfare of the nation. The candidates selected from youth parliaments at state and district levels will be participating in the event. The top 3 winners will get an opportunity to present their ideas in front of PM Modi. The meeting will be graced by esteemed guests like Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' and Union Minister for youth and sports affairs Kiren Rijiju. The program has been organised to hear the voices of youth between 18 to 25 years of age who are eligible for voting and will embark the journey of their professional lives in coming years. Some might join public services too. This will help to figure out what youngsters hold in the mind and what they expect from the government. The National Youth Parliament Festival (NYPF) comes from the idea proposed by the PM in his 'Mann ki Baat' on December 31,2017.

The program welcomed around 88,000 participants around the nation. Carrying the legacy forward the second NYPF was organised from December 23, 2020 through virtual mode. 2.34 lakhs youngsters participated in the event. It was then followed for shortlisting by the State Youth Parliament from January 1 to January 5. The finals of the second NYPF held in Central Hall of Parliament on January 11. In the finals, 29 winners will get to speak before a National jury consisting of Rajya Sabha MP Roopa Ganguly, Lok Sabha MP Parvesh Sahib Singh, and journalist Prafulla Ketkar.

The top 3 on the pedestal will throw light on their vision in valedictory function on January 12.
