NCERT: Mughal Empire Chapters From Class 12 History Book removed...

NCERT, National Council of Educational Research and Training has updated their textbooks. As per curriculum, class 12 history book the Mughal Empire chapters have been removed from it for CBSC and up board.

 

According to the recent updated curriculum, the book 'Themes in Indian History-Part II' will no longer includes chapters on 'Kings and Chronicles; the Mughal Courts (C. 16th and 17th centuries)'. 

 

NCERT's new class 12 history textbooks will adopt the Uttar Pradesh government, in which the Mughal courts have been removed.

 

Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak said, "We teach our students using NCERT books...whatever is there in the revised edition will be followed". 

 

The class 12 civics book has been updated with two new chapters of "American Hegemony in World politics" and "The cold war era", removed, along with revisions made to the history and Hindi textbooks.

 

Textbook for class 12 the "Indian Politics after Independence" has removed the two chapters "Rise of Popular Movements' and 'Era of One Party Dominance".

 

From Class 11th textbook ‘Themes In World History’ chapters like ‘Central Islamic lands’, ‘Confrontation of cultures’ and ‘The Industrial Revolution’ have been removed

 

The class 10 textbook "Democratic Politics -II" has also undergone changes, by removing chapters on 'Democracy and diversity', 'Popular Struggles and Movements', and 'Challenges of Democracy', along with some revisions have also been done for class 11 textbooks.

 

From current academic session 2023-2024 the changes will be implemented.
