NEET 2021 to be on 1st August

The test will be conducted in 11 languages, including Hindi and English, in pen and paper (offline) mode on August 1, according to NTA notice

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for admission of the student in medical studies will be on August 1, the National Testing Agency (NTA) announced on Friday. "NEET (UG), 2021, will be conducted by NTA for admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BSMS, BUMS, and BHMS courses in accordance with the relevant policies, guidelines, and regulations promulgated by the relevant governing bodies.

"The test will be conducted in 11 languages, including Hindi and English, on August 1," the NTA said in the official announcement. Bulletin containing detailed information about the examination, syllabus, age eligibility process, booking, seating, seating fees, exam cities, exam cities, state code will be available shortly upon submission of the NEET (UG) application form

Applicants are advised to continue visiting official websites - nta.nic.in and ntaneet.nic.in - to receive updates regarding testing. Admission to MBBS programs at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) is done through NEET.

Last week, a government official said there would be no change in the exam method. The Department of Education asked if the test could be done online and repeated more than once a year. This is because with JEE (Mains) being conducted more than once and proportional aspirations improving in the second attempt, the government demanded that NEET-UG be held more than once a year.

NEET in 2020 was held on September 13 despite opposition in the days that led to the writing of exams in many areas, including students and political parties. It was held in accordance with the principles of COVID-19. A total of 15,97 students enrolled for the exam, Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal said 85-90% of the test results were obtained. The test recorded a qualifying percentage of 56.44%.
