New Lieutenant Governor Suspends Three Officials In Kejriwal's Office

Three officials including Deputy Secretary at Delhi CM's Office suspended by Governor


According to the statement posted by Prakash Chandra Thakur, the Deputy Secretary in the Delhi Chief minister Arvind Kejriwal's office.

He along with two others were suspended and disciplinary actions were ordered against them by the Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena on Wednesday.

The other two officials ordered to be suspended by him were sub-division magistrates (SDMs).

One from Vasant Vihar, SDM Harshit Jain, and the other one from Vivek Vihar SDM Devender Sharma.

Two assistant engineers of DDA (Delhi Development Authority) were also suspended after the Governor found some setbacks in the construction of EWS (Economically Weaker Section) apartments in the Kalkaji Extension.

Last week, Mr. Saxena, the LG had chaired a meeting to review the law and order situation of the capital.

In this meeting, he was briefed about the current law and order situation, in- depth crime data analysis. 

And Other precautionary measures, major obstacles, reforms or some action accepted and their impact by the Delhi Police Commissioner. Lt. Governor appreciated the path taken over by Delhi Police.

He specifically appreciated the separation of law and order from disquisition and integration of PCR at the Police Station level.

Along with that enterprise for women's safety, skill training through YUVA etc were also praised. However, he further emphasized upon punctuality and proper order while probing similar cases.

He further added how special focus should be laid on the collection of scientific substantiation.

This would help in enhancing the conviction rate and thereby reinforcing the truculent effect of the law-and-order script.

While stressing upon the significance of public outreach and community policing, the Lt. Governor emphasized on public sounds in the points to grease the redressal of public grievances.
