New names to Maharashtra's cities...

The Centre approves the name changes...


The ministry of home affairs have approved the decision of renaming two cities of Maharashtra on Friday and also. Informed that the central government have no objection in changing the names of the cities.

 

After the approval Aurangabad and Osmanabad have been renamed as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar and Dharashiv respectively.

 

Following the decision, the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis shared his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and to Union Home Minister Amit Shah for the decision. He further mentioned that the state government leading by the chief minister Eknath Shinde did what he promised.

 

Meanwhile, many leaders reacted to the decision that includes Aurangabad MP and all India Majlis- e- ittehadul- muslimeen (AIMIM) leader Imtiaz Jaleel who stated that they will now show the strength of Aurangabad as that is there city from years and asked the people to defeat the political parties.

 

Shiv Sena leaders, Ambadas Danve stated the decision as victory of late Shiv Sena leader Bal Thackeray.
