BVR Subrahmanyam replaced Parameswaran Iyer...


The appointment committee of the cabinet has approved that the Former IAS officer BVR Subrahmanyam as the new Niti Aayog CEO (chief executive officer).

 

Following the information BVR Subrahmanyam is replacing Parameswan Iyer who is appointed as the executive director at World Bank headquarter in Washington DC, USA for two years from date of appointment of the charge of the post or till further orders.

 

He was a 1987 batch IAS officer of Chattisgarh cadre and holds a engineering degree and management degree from London business school. He continued his work in PMO till 2015 and later moved back to the principal secretary in chattisgarh.

 

He also served as the chief secretary of Jammu and Kashmir in 2018 and was appointed as the private secretary in 2004 and 2008 to the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

 

He further become the commerce secretary to the ministry of commerce and industry.
