WORK FROM HOME FOR 365 DAYS A YEAR


On Monday domestic Steel maker company, TATA Steel announced a new work model for its employees which allows them to work from home up to 365 days a year.

The statement said that the new working model policy is effective from Sunday, TATA Steel said that "This is moving towards the trust and outcome-based working culture and they are providing more flexibility to their employees even officers who are required to be based out of a particular location can now work from home for unlimited days in a year " when pandemic normalizes the policy will enable company's office to move to a location of choice giving the employee the flexibility to operate out of any location in the country the organization said, "The agreement will be conducted for a year and based on adaptability and feedback the policy will be reviewed after 1 year".

Human Resource Management, Vice President, Suresh Datt Tripathi, said that " flexible working hours not only depicts and organisations intend to create a workplace for the upcoming eras but also establishes its intent to cater the needs of its workforce across geographies``. He said that the pandemic has helped to move out from the traditional thinking of productivity and being contingent upon fixed hours of work within an office environment and burst many of the beliefs around remote working.

The policy will enjoy a better work-life balance will give more flexibility to choose where one leaves as a daily work shift out of consideration, provides working opportunities to the new parents at the convenience and ensure continuity of work for persons with disabilities with their respective enable environment Tripathi, also said that flexible working provides greater freedom to choose a location and make a  life decisions such a supporting family, ageing parents, spouses with not Transferable jobs this will help in retaining and enriching our key talent from across the country and attractive workforce for the location of the roles.
