Wife suspected for the murder, arrested.
A 30-year-old man from Nigeria was allegedly murder by his wife who suspected him of having an affair with another woman. The deceased has been identified as Emanuel, a resident of Dwarka Mor. Police received an information from Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital that a patient named Emanuel having a stab injuries had been brought for treatment by his wife, but was declared dead on arrival.
When the police reached the hospital, Emanuel’s wife Abigail who brought him for treatment has escaped. Police however, tracked her down and enquire her. Her phone was also switched off but hours later, she was found and questioned, said Sudhanshu Dhama, Additional DCP (outer).
Investigation revealed that the deceased got married to Abigail in September last year but started living separately since August this year, after the differences cropped up.
Abigail got to know that Emanuel was having an affair with other when she went to meet him on October 25 and found another woman there. Followed by an altercation, Abigail asked Emanuel for divorce but he did not agreed.
On October 26 early morning, Emanuel went to Abigail’s house for truce but again an altercation broke out. During the argument, Abigail lost control and stabbed Emanuel with a kitchen knife.
Abigail, who sells snacks from her home, has been arrested, and a case of murder has been registered at Nihal Vihar police station, said Sudhanshu Dhama, Additional DCP (outer). After complete investigation, Abigail was sent to Tihar jail, Delhi in Judicial Custody.
