Madhya Pradesh's cabinet ordered the closure of bars...


The liquor bars will be closed in the state as per the order by the Madhya Pradesh home minister Narottam Mishra on 19 Feburary 2023 to close all open air bars in order to discourage the consumption of liquor.

 

As per the information Home minister Narottam Mishra address the people during a press conference on sunday that all the liquor bars will be closed and people are only allowed to buy the liquor and take home and could not cousme it in bars.

 

He further mentioned that if any person found in drunken state while driving will face strict enforcement of rule and led to the suspension of the driving licence.

 

The distance of the liquor shop from schools and temples will also get increased from 50 metre to 100 metre. Since, 2010 no mew liquor shop has been closed in the state. The state government has introduced a new liquor rule to discourage people for consumption of liquor.
